With heavy hearts, we announce that Kevin passed away on March 19, 2022 in the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, with family by his side.

 

Kevin is survived by his daughter Bonita Brandt; grandson Marshall Brandt; former wife Linda Brandt-Doherty; as well as many extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Clara Doherty; and his brother Terrence.

 

Kevin was born and raised in the Minneapolis suburb of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He lived and worked in Minnesota and parts of the US and Canada. Most recently, he lived in Pilot Mound Manitoba where he was grateful for the help and friendship of his new neighbours.

 

Kevin had a great appreciation for music and cars. He loved to grow his own food and experiment with sustainable growing techniques. He took good care of his family members and was fiercely devoted to his many canine friends through the years. He was a free-thinking man of independence. Kevin will be especially remembered for his exceptional carpentry skills and as a fine woodworker. He was a master craftsman and an artisan.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
