VICTOR JAMES ARNOTT

December 31, 1965 - October 10, 2021

Vic passed peacefully in St. Boniface Hospital after a two-year battle with cancer.

 

Vic is predeceased by his father John Gemmill Arnott, of Portage la Prairie.

 

Vic is survived by his beloved son, Gabriel James Whitford Arnott of Winnipeg; mother Lorraine Marie Arnott (née Clare) of Winnipeg; siblings Ani Arnott (John Bennett), of Hamilton, ON, Marni Arnott, of Portage la Prairie, Casey Wolf, of Vancouver, BC, Carole Gray (Melissa Giffard), Of Melbourne, Australia, Joanne Arnott, of Vancouver, BC, Saya Arnott of Portage la Prairie, Guy Arnott of Winnipeg, and Robert Arnott (Jenelle) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; nephews, Thomas Gray (Liz), Stuart Arnott Campbell (Elizabeth Hiroko Knight Yamamoto), Harper Arnott Campbell (Wei), Johnathan Arnott, Michael Gray, Jeremy (Ryah) Arnott, Isi Arnott Cambell, and Jules Arnott Zenthoefer; nieces, Tine Butler (Neal), Angie Meek (Jim), Robin Bennett (Caleb), Lila Arnott Campbell (Olivia Dethlefsen), Ashley Arnott, Mariah Arnott, and Faust Arnott Zenthoefer, as well as special friends Forrest and Brighton Whitford.

 

Vic was known for his love of cats, the care he had for his family, his warmth, and his wry sense of humour. He was a gifted musician and friend.

 

He will be deeply missed.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Vic’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo biography above. It is still so hard to believe our brother, father, uncle, Sun, friend has gone. It was so good to be with other people who love him and to hear a little of why. Love to you all. ❤

❤love this video, it was so nice to meet some of Vic's many friends, & that so many came zoom. He was a wonderful man, brother & best friend. He will be missed deeply..til we meet again our memories will keep us going .

It was very moving to me watching this video and listening to the beautiful song. I only ever met Vic at our very first family reunion.  He was just at the beginning of his family life, as a lot of us were. I do understand the love you all shared for your brother,son, Uncle, Father and friend. This lovely video will help ease your pain.  We are all so sorry for your loss. So, so sad that this wonderful man is no longer with us.  I'm very grateful to have met and worked with him - the endless hours of chatting and laughing will always be with  me ❤
