EVA MARIA SCHULZ BELL
November 30, 1950 – April 3, 2025
It is with our sadness we announce that Eva Bell passed away on April 3, 2025.
Eva Maria Schulz Bell was born on Nov. 30, 1950 in Parlburg, East Germany to parents Otto and Liane Schulz. They travelled by boat to move to Winnipeg in 1955. Eva grew up in Windsor Park. She went to Pollock Beauty School and became a hairdresser.
She loved crafts, church, and Elvis. She went to see Elvis live in Hawaii in 1973 and appears in the video Blue Hawaii. Until the day she passed she would talk about that experience.
Eva married Wayne Bell on June 2, 1973 in Winnipeg. The couple went on to have two daughters. They raised their family in Elmwood. Her favourite food was perogies and chili and she made them often.
Eva was predeceased by her parents, Otto and Liane; son-in-law Dean; and great-grandson Kaleb.
She will be sadly missed by husband Wayne; daughters, Tanya and Katrina; her son-in-law Barry; sisters, Monica and Renata; brother Rodney; grandchildren, Liane, Kyle, Sydney, Darion, and Mia; and great grandchildren, Lexie, Braelyn, Hailey, Felix, and Madeline. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and all extended family. We all love you, Mom.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Ruth Garden. This location is at 104 - 1179 Rothesay St, Rm4.
Donations in her honour can be given to the Mamingwey Burns Society, Inc.
Jesus the True Vine
1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. 2He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. 3You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. 4Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. 5I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. 6Whoever does not abide in me is thrown away like a branch and withers; such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”

I met Eva about 30 years ago on the bus and we got to talking. She worked about 2 buildings down from where I worked. I found out she lived close to me and my daughter. After that we found out we went to the same church. There was 7 of us that got together once a month for dinner for about 5 years. We would take turns having the dinner at our homes.
We will miss you, Eva.
