JEFFREY GORDON BETTS

December 10, 1961 – September 1, 2023

Jeff left us on the first sunny day of September, with family by his side.

He will be deeply missed by Karen, his girl; sons, Stephen and Jason; brothers, Ken, and Chris (Christy); and sister Nancy (Marc.) He also leaves behind two special furry girls, Sadie and Penny Buttons. A special shout-out to his best buddies, Greg, who was like another brother to him, Jayman, and Cam. Greeting him at the gate is his brother Randy, with an open MGD.

Jeff spent 27 wonderful and adventurous years together with Karen, travel to Cuba being his favourite. Epic backyard parties every August, and great times with friends at classic rock festivals. He was so proud of his boys whom he loved unconditionally.

Jeff was Mr. Fix-It. If it was battered or broken, a little Jeffy-Fix would do the trick. He had an easy laugh, loved a good steak & a great cheeseburger, enjoyed a margarita on Bomber game days and a tequila paralyzer on Jets game days.

Health issues forced an early retirement, but he looked forward to visits from family and friends, as getting out was often difficult for him.

No formal service will be held, but a private gathering with family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in Jeff’s memory to the Manitoba Lung Association or any Pet Rescue.

I’m so sorry to hear of his passing! He was such an awesome coworker at Home Depot and one of the first people I got to tattoo when I was doing my tattoo apprenticeship.

We are so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing.  Our memories of Jeff are one of care, kindness, compassion and friendship.  Cheering on his dad’s hockey teams always brought a sense of pride to his parents.  Rest in peace Jeff and say hi to Gordie, Shirley and Randy.  Our prayers and thoughts are with Karen and the entire Bett’s family.
