BRIAN BOLES
June 13, 1943 – March 1, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Boles at the age of 82. Brian was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Caroline Boles (née Yurkiw); and his brother Harley.
Brian was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, where he spent his early childhood before his family relocated to Winnipeg. It was there, in 1964, that he met Caroline while they lived in the same apartment building. Their journey together began alongside Brian’s brothers, Derric and Darrell, and their family quickly grew with the birth of their children: Dennis, followed a year later by Cindy, and, years later, they were blessed with their third child, Scott.
Brian and Caroline built a loving home on Radford Street, where Brian became deeply involved in his community. He served as President of the Sinclair Park Community Centre and dedicated many years as a youth hockey convener. He also volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Society. An avid outdoorsman, Brian loved hunting and fishing with family while spending weekends in Portage la Prairie.
Family was everything to Brian. He and Caroline cherished every moment spent with loved ones, whether hosting Christmas gatherings or attending their grandchildren’s activities. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren and often spoke of them with great pride.
Brian had a long and respected career as a commercial property manager, retiring at the age of 77. In his later years, he enjoyed taking long drives, visiting family, and walking his dog.
Brian leaves behind his children, Dennis (Pat), Cindy Danchuk (Garth), and Scott (Katrina); his grandchildren, Adam (Renata), Ashley (Abdu), Desiree (Trent), Haley (Jonathan), Caitlynn, Celeste, Wesley, and Vaughn; and his six great-grandchildren, Abdullah, Bushra, Yahya, Yunus, Ibraheem, and Ella Rose.
He is also survived by his twin brothers, Derric and Darrell Boles; and his brother-in-law, Gerald Yurkiw. He will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews.
Brian was a quiet man who didn’t say much, but his actions spoke volumes. He showed his love through his dedication to family, his hard work, and his unwavering presence. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Brian's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I was so sorry to read of the passing of Briahn. I only knew him in his professional capacity with Colliers but we would chat for ages when we met and both ran behind schedule as a result. From our meetings, he would talk about his family and he was so proud of his children and would regale me with stories of them and his growing up. He was always kind to me and always had a smile and gentle demeanor about him which did not go unnoticed by me and those around him.
