BECK FULLERTON

September 12, 1995 - June 10, 2024

Words fail to capture the profound sorrow that has enveloped those who cherished Beck since his untimely passing on June 10th at the age of twenty-eight. Beck's journey was not without challenges, yet he remained steadfast in guiding others towards their fitness aspirations. A natural mentor, he instilled in everyone the belief that strength was within their grasp, regardless of age, weight, or physical constraints.

Beck was born an athlete and a star. He crawled at three months and walked at nine, never once losing his balance. Athletically gifted, Beck chose football as his sport and began humbly on the Crescentwood football field, where he waited patiently for his opportunity to shine. His talent and love for football grew year by year, a testament to his determination and resilience.

Looking for a new challenge, he accepted an offer to play junior football with the Okanagan Sun in Kelowna, B.C. He completed the five-year program, winning countless All-star awards as a defensive back and ranking as one of the top Canadian Junior Football Athletes, a testament to his athletic prowess and dedication.

After his brief stint with the Bisons at the University of Manitoba, Beck left to start his career as a Personal Trainer. Beck worked at various gyms but knew he wanted to be his own boss and teach his methods to those willing to do the work. Here, he found his joy and purpose in life.

He cherished his sister Scotia, admiring her brilliant wit, intelligence, and warm, forgiving heart, and his dad Cameron for his unwavering support while he worked to reach his football goals. His love for his family was a beacon of light in his life, a source of strength and inspiration that guided him through his journey.

From the beginning, Beck's love for me was the foundation upon which my strength was built. He was my biggest fan, and I was his. My faith provides solace in knowing he is with his grandparents and sister, all who embraced him as he transitioned to where his kind, bountiful spirit now lives. He will remain beautiful, funny and loving to all of us who are left here to grieve this unbearable loss.

We are indebted to all who have been Beck's family from the beginning. Your support has been overwhelming, and we thank you so very much.

Beck, you are my everything; thank you for letting me be your Mom.

Rest easy, Mama's love.

Beck’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I lived with beck in Kelowna for a year when we both played on the okanagan sun. He was a great teammate, a fantastic roommate, and someone that I considered a lifelong friend. We hadn't stayed in as close of contact as we should have the last few years, but we had started chatting more again this year, and had even started loosely planning for him coming out and visit Halifax this summer. Beck was very popular in the locker room, and was one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I'm thankful for all the memories I made with him, my sincere condolences to his family.

To my dear friend Beck,

Before I met you, I had never met anyone with the exact same sense of humour as myself. I knew immediately we were destined to become best friends. I was always the worry-wart and you were very care free. It was a special relationship because we always evened each other out. I had the privilege of being by your side throughout high school and two years of junior football in Kelowna. I’ll never forget being wide eyed 18 year olds in a new town. We used to bike home together from practice in the pitch black through Mission Creek Park. I’ll never forget our infamous bike accident where I fell off my bike and you ran over me at full speed and smoked your head on the pavement…we laid in the middle of the road for 30 seconds before we burst out laughing about what just happened. I’ll never forget living together in 2015 and surviving off of K Town Pizzeria and Tim Hortons Chicken Sandwiches. For someone that hated cheese, you sure loved pizza. I’ll never forget our late night car rides in your Chrysler Sebring and our obsession with White Iverson by Post Malone. I’ll never forget when your car got towed the night before the National Championship game and you had to break into the tow yard to retrieve my bag that had all of my ID’s in them…I could go on and on with the memories and funny stories, but I’ll stop there. Thank you for always being there for me and thank you for always being my brother. Even though we weren’t as close the past few years, it was always love and respect. Rest Easy buddy and say hi to Eli for me!

Love Wiggles.

My world will never be the same without you. But our time together was so substantial, it will cary on with me for the rest of my life. You will always be with me Beck. In all that I am and everything that I do. I will always feel blessed to of had you by my side. Your drive and compassion for others will not be forgotten. You have impacted so many my sweet boy. I still remember laughing so hard that tears came to our eyes as we sat in my living room with the boys, tattooing what was meant to say "Beck", but turned out saying "Buck" on my quad...

Man, I miss those days....

Beck always kept it real with everyone he met, and would tell it how it was whether you wanted to hear it or not. He was a gifted athlete and weight lifter, and an even better friend. His presence would light up any room, and I can't say that I've shared more laughs with anyone else throughout my life..

Through all our ups and downs over the years, I hope you knew how much love I had for you bro.

Rest in peace brother. You will be greatly missed ❤️

I had the pleasure of living with Beck for a year, during that time we became close friends. I always could count on Beck to be there at the drop of a hat when I'd call on him for anything.

Rest easy, pal. You will be missed.

Beck & I had an amazing friendship! Not only did I have the honour & pleasure of taking care of his hair needs as his barber, but also being a close friend of his. Once a week, for 3-4 years I saw beck in my life, it was routine for us every Friday morning at 8am. I'd come over & do house calls for the homie. Beck motivated me in my fitness goals, for that I am forever grateful for because I'm still on my journey. It was never a dull moment with Beck, whether it was a haircut or going out to grab some grub, Beck was always laughing & making those laugh around him. Here's a video of a time where I had to improvise as I had not brough my hair cape to cover him. I hope this video brings peace to those that wish to hear Becks contagious laugh one more time. Peace & love to the family, you are all in my prayers. ❤️‍🔥
