JOHN BRADLEY KLASSEN

December 13, 1961 – November 1, 2022

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Brad Klassen on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB at the age of 60 years.

Brad leaves to morn, his father Jack; sister, Lauri: nephews Logan and Jackson; Uncles, Victor (Marion), Fred (Rose); and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Donna.

Brad had many friends who will miss him dearly. His best friend and brother from another, Al, also Dave, Mark, Verna, and Anita who were his lifelong friends that were like family to him.

Brad was well travelled. He once remarked that he had seen every province in Canada except for P.E.I. He lived Moncton, NB, Toronto, ON, Fort St. John, BC, Churchill, MB, Winnipeg, MB, and Gimli, MB. As far as he travelled, he always came home to Winnipeg where friends and family awaited him.

Brad was a very handy guy and loved fixing things. His talents led him to a variety of jobs. His last job was seasonal street sweeping and snow clearing. We always knew when he started his winter work as he would change his Facebook profile picture to Homer Simpson wearing his Mr. Plow jacket.

Brad had always been passionate about the causes he believed in and had always been highly opinionated which landed him in Facebook jail many times. He was also kind, thoughtful, generous, loyal, and loving. His daily good morning posts let us all know that he was ok.

Brad accepted his terminal cancer diagnosis with good cheer and did his best to ease us through his last days with unfailing good humor.

Cremation has taken place and Brad’s celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 2 pm at the Unitarian Church at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brad’s memory to Johnson memorial Hospital, Palliative Care in Gimli, MB

R.I.P. my good chum, will always remember our last ride up to Pine Falls last year. An hour ride of nothing but jokes and laughs, till we meet again my Brother.❤
