I was replying to a poll on Facebook as to who was my favourite all time drummer.  I automatically thought of and wrote down Darrell’s name then was directed to his obituary. We lost touch after high school. Always considered him a good friend and an amazing drummer !  My sympathies to all who loved him. RIP old friend .

I lost contact with Darrell in the last few years  and was shocked to stumble across this. Darrell made friends with everyone but he was the best friend I ever had. He had some hard times but always fought his way through, and just seemed indestructible. I can’t believe he’s gone. The last time I saw him, he seemed to be seeking God. I hope he found Him and salvation through faith in Jesus. My heart goes out to Gill and Debbie and Todd. Stephen B.

I always smile when I think of Darrell, he never failed to make us laugh. As kids, his made-up songs at Christmas and later on, we would go see him at his comedy sets. I’ll never forget his rendition of “If I had a million dollars” sung at his set as “If I was a little taller”  Rest In Peace cousin.
