MARK STEVENS
October 14, 1962 – July 3, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden and peaceful passing of our beloved father, brother, and partner, Mark Stevens on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the age of 61.
Mark is survived by his partner Curtis; his four children, Samuel, Jordan, Chelsea, Tyler; his “stepdaughter” Kimberly-Paige (Max); “stepgrandchild” Jaxen; sister Tracy (Dan); niece Megan, an uncle and aunt in England, and numerous cousins. Mark was predeceased by his loving parents, Harry and Vera; and his ex-wife Lena.
Mark was born in Winnipeg on October 14, 1962, and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He was a devoted partner to Curtis, with whom he shared sixteen wonderful years. As a father, Mark was a constant source of support, wisdom, and love for his four children. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and the people they have become and had him having the time of his life.
He was a lover of animals and was always surrounded by pets and wildlife that brought him joy and companionship; especially the bald eagle and his two cats, Lucy and Scrappy. Throughout his life, Mark faced numerous challenges within life. He made several mistakes along the way but took full responsibility, working hard to right his wrongs and grow as a person he became.
Mark's journey through life was marked by a strong sense of community and service. He worked an assortment of jobs throughout his life, where he forged a plethora of lasting friendships. More recently, Mark joined the board of the Ralph Brown Community Centre, where he found fulfillment in giving back to the community he and his children loved.
Mark will be remembered for his warm smile, his generous spirit, and his deep commitment to those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured forever by all who knew him.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Ralph Brown Community Centre located at 520 Machray Avenue.
Mark will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We've been broken-hearted and blue since the day he parted this world. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Mark's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

words can not express the depth of my love for you, Mark. It is unwavering and will last forever. I am so grateful for having known you for as long as I did. I am thankful for all you have done for me, my family and our friends. You sure are loved, there is no doubt about that. Now, all I have are our memories, and there are so many good ones. Our travels, the numerous Madonna concerts in Toronto, for which you were by my side for every show we have seen. All of her tours from 2008 right up to January 2024. I am so thankful you made these possible. All the wonderful meals you prepared, I enjoyed each and every single one (including your spaghetti/hamburger soup). My heart aches for you, my soul will never be the same again. The only thing that makes me happy is that you are with your Mum and Dad, whom you missed so dearly, especially the Christmas Champagne breakfasts. Holidays will simply never be the same, there will always be an empty chair at the dinner table, and on our couch. But, you are completely healed now, no more troubles. No more sickness. You are whole, and I am hole hearted. Love you forever. Always with us in our loving hearts.

Sorry for the loss. Many hugs, prayers, condolences to the steven kids and family and to curtis and his family. used to work with Mark many years ago. He was in my training class and as I got to know him I really liked him. We became friends and hung out at work. I fell in love with his sense of humor, his personality and kindness. I knew him before he started dating Curtis. Curtis worked with us and I remember the two got along great. After we both quit I missed seeing Mark everyday.. we kept in touch all these years on Facebook. .I loved seeing his posts, having him like things I posted.. I will miss him.. Mark will always be remembered by me and have a special place in my heart. I am grateful I met him. 😭🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
