SPENCER REID KEVIN TIMMERMAN

September 25, 2011 - June 11, 2018

It is with enormous sadness and broken hearts that the family of Spencer Timmerman announce his passing.

Predeceased by his Poppa (Kevin Timmerman, 2015), Great-great-grandpa Desrochers, Great-great-grandma and Grandpa Andrews.

Spencer will be lovingly held in the hearts of his his Mammy (Lori Desrochers), his mom (Kaity Timmerman), and Dad (Cody Foulger), Great-great Grandma Bridgewater (Lucille),Great grandma and grandpa Dufault (Adrian and Barb), Great grandpa and granny Desrochers (Dan and Donna), Great-Grandma and Grandpa Timmerman (Joan and Alfred), and hundreds of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Spencer was the first of the fifth generation of our family.

Spencer arrived on September 25, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. His mammy and mom and poppa were so proud, happy, and in love with him. All those feelings only increased through the years.

Spencer was a happy, fun-loving, good baby. Watching him grow every day and learn and experience growing up was such a joy.

Spencer started daycare at one-and-a-half years old, he made friends easily and everyone always gravitated to him. He had an easy beautiful smile and a quiet character. As he grew, his quiet demeanor continued, but don’t let that fool you! He developed a great sense of humor, love for adventure, and meeting new friends, and he had many friends.

Spencer took gymnastics for a couple years through ages 2-3; we had such fun at those classes! He also took skating lessons and loved those classes as well. Most recently, Spencer took swimming lessons, soccer and two years of karate: he was working on his six-pack. He was so excited to be going to hockey camp this summer.

Spencer loved school. He went to Shamrock school for nursery and attended Ecole St. Malo School for kindergarten and grade 1, where he had many friends. He loved performing at various concerts and most recently volunteered for a talent show where he did a karate demonstration. Every day when asked how school was, he replied “Great!” or “Awesome!” He loved his teachers, Madame B., Mr. K., and Madame M.

We read many, many books through the years, and just recently, he read to me, oh how proud I was!

At home, he loved to ride his quad, play with his dogs, Wendy and Char, bake, read books, and watch his favourite shows, Paw Patrol and Wild Kratts, we both started learning to canoe together. We took many walks together. His favourite movies were Lilo & Stitch, Lion King, Coco, and most recently, Titanic, along with many others. He would often say he was going next door to Great-Grandma and Grandpa to visit and have a snack; he loved his ice cream bars and Great-Grandma’s homemade cookies and helping Great-Grandpa with projects in garage and around the home.

We danced often and he had great moves. Playing on the monkey bars, and playing in his sand pile, having bonfires, eating smores were some of our other favourite things to do.

He missed his Poppa terribly and now he is with him in heaven.

There are no words large enough to describe our loss of Spencer. He is the love of my life and the best gift from God.

Spencer was the best 6 years of my life, being loved and loving him brought me joy every day of those years. I am so proud of him and to be his mammy… what a gift.

He had just caught his first fish at our fishing hole; he was so excited and kept yelling “It’s a pike! It’s a pike!”

He asked me if I was proud of him. I replied, “I’m so excited for you, and I am proud of you all the time.”

Spencer, I see beauty every day, when we were together and now. I feel joy thinking of you, but I miss your voice, your hugs, your laughter, just your presence I have such a deep sadness. I promised you I would feel joy again one day Buddy, I will, I promise. How much I miss you cannot be described.

Love,

Mammy

Love Outlasts a Single Lifetime

Spencer,

Me and Spencer played hockey. I took him to the St. Malo rink once a week to show him how to skate again and shoot a puck. He got really good and played a couple of games with other people there: he scored a couple of goals -- I was so proud of him. He learned wrist shot, slap shot and snap shot and even made up his own shot which was called "the Spencer splicer". He had a hockey net in the yard which we would go out to all the time and shoot pucks at it; he hit the target in no time.

I told him that every Saturday I was off I would do anything he wants. So one time we played in the sand box, got all full of sand, had a great time. We went fishing, which he loved, and got a few fish.  Best of all, Spencer caught a fish before me! Way to go, Spencer!

I read him books before bed with sounds and then reading started happening every night. Spencer asking me to read to him was so much fun, and we can't leave out that the Captain Underpants book was really funny and he enjoyed it very much. We went on quad rides and he was doing the gas and steering a little with my help. He always knew how to put a smile on your face and would go out and beyond to make you happy. When we went camping, he slept in a blow-up boat which he thought was really cool, and we took a real boat out and caught two fish. We both were so happy: all smiles. Anytime me and Spencer did anything together, it was always a blast. I will never forget  the day we were having hot dogs and fries for supper and Spencer said, "Dad, can you pass the ketchup?" and my heart just melted.

Love you to bits and pieces, my son.

- From his Dad

It all started the day I found out I was having a little boy. My heart swelled three times that day. I loved you the moment I knew you were inside me. All your smiles and hugs always made my day, even more bright than before. I remember the day when I was sick and you took care of me . I miss you, my boy, and I always will. I love you from the moon and back.  Everyone here misses you very much.

-Love, Mom
