LEONARD DENNIS TRACH
November 28, 1942 – March 9, 2025
With sadness, the Trach family announces the passing of Leonard Dennis Trach, our much-loved Uncle & brother, on March 9, 2025 at Tiger Hills Health Centre in Treherne, Manitoba.
Leonard was born on November 28, 1942 on the family farm in Keld, MB, R.M. of Dauphin, the youngest of six children, to Peter and Anastasia (Nellie) Trach (nee Michaluk). Leonard lived his life simply on the farm enjoying the birds and animals that would pass by throughout the seasons. He kept tabs on the crops on his land and surrounding area. This peaceful land and life suited his kind and gentle spirit.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, sisters Francis and Mary, brothers Edward and Paul, nephew Darryl and niece Cheryl. He is survived by his sister Verna. Proud to carry on the family name are his many nieces and nephews and their families; Gary, Kenneth, Lori Ann, Dale, Adele, Gerald, Kevin, Jacqueline, Donna, Janet, Gordon, Karen and Richard.
Our family is very grateful for the care and attention Leonard received from his neighbour over the years. Much gratitude is extended to his medical team at the Dauphin Hospital who cared for and worked so diligently with Leonard. During his short time at Tiger Hills Health Centre, he was surrounded by his kind and compassionate medical care team. Words cannot express how much this means to Leonard's family.
A private family celebration of life will be held to honour Leonard in August. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin.
May he rest in peace.
Leonard’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Leonard was my 1 st. cousin..I saw him every summer when I visited his parents & siblings when I went to Dauphin with my parents Jack & Anne Trach. My Dad & Leonard's Dad were brothers.I have fond memories of those visits to the farm in Keld. I remember Leonard as always being so shy but so kind. Rest in Peace Leonard. 🙏

Uncle Leonard was a very cool uncle & we loved him very much.
Only 14 years my senior, he was almost like an older brother who took me by the hand everytime we visited his farm. He was so gentle & soft spoken. I will remember him forever.
