MILE “MIKE” VUKOVICH

September 14, 1950 – March 2, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mike Vukovich on March 2, 2025 at the age of 74. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Erna; father, Milovan; sister, Helen; and brother, Peter. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Steve and Chris; sons, Cory, Erik, and Jason; nieces and nephews, Laica and Cody, Derek and Kristin; cousin, Branko; and all their respective families.

Mike was born in Germany on September 14, 1950, and arrived in Canada with his mother Erna and brother Steve in July 1951. He grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and graduated from St. James Collegiate, where he enjoyed playing many sports. Mike was employed with the Manitoba Telephone System for over 25 years and also worked part-time in the hospitality business as a bartender in various establishments in the city. After retiring from MTS, he worked in security. He enjoyed taking trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with friends and coworkers and traveling to Yugoslavia with his father to visit relatives for the first time. He had a great passion for sports, music, and wrestling.

He was a kind and caring man who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

In Accordance with Mike's wishes, no formal service will be held.

Mike’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I worked with Mike at MTS on 1300 Ellice for years. We bowled together in the MTS Bowling League. I found Mike to have a great sense of humor and that he loved to laugh. My condolences to Steve and the Vukovich Family.
