MILE “MIKE” VUKOVICH
September 14, 1950 – March 2, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mike Vukovich on March 2, 2025 at the age of 74. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Erna; father, Milovan; sister, Helen; and brother, Peter. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Steve and Chris; sons, Cory, Erik, and Jason; nieces and nephews, Laica and Cody, Derek and Kristin; cousin, Branko; and all their respective families.
Mike was born in Germany on September 14, 1950, and arrived in Canada with his mother Erna and brother Steve in July 1951. He grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and graduated from St. James Collegiate, where he enjoyed playing many sports. Mike was employed with the Manitoba Telephone System for over 25 years and also worked part-time in the hospitality business as a bartender in various establishments in the city. After retiring from MTS, he worked in security. He enjoyed taking trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with friends and coworkers and traveling to Yugoslavia with his father to visit relatives for the first time. He had a great passion for sports, music, and wrestling.
He was a kind and caring man who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
In Accordance with Mike's wishes, no formal service will be held.

Mike was a student of mine at St. James Collegiate where he was also very active in sports. To the members of his family, my deepest condolences.

I worked with Mike at MTS on 1300 Ellice for years. We bowled together in the MTS Bowling League. I found Mike to have a great sense of humor and that he loved to laugh. My condolences to Steve and the Vukovich Family.

Enjoyed my time working with Mike at KP phone centre. Always a gentleman with a good work ethic and told great stories . Some made me laugh so hard I cried. RIP Mike.

Sending my condolences to Mikes family and friends. I worked with Mike when he was a tech at Kildonan Place Phone Centre for a number of years. He was always so helpful and would give you the shirt off his back! Rest in Peace,Mike
