With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Violet Rasmussen on January 17, 2025, at the age of 87. Edna was born in Rhein, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her son, Kelly Temchuk; and her daughter, Wendy Blank.

David Andrew Foster was born on the family farm near Lena on April 22, 1937, where he grew up with his parents Fred and Lucy (Banin / Hammond) and younger brother Cecil. He attended school at Lena, then high school in Killarney.

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Shary Lee Cormier on January 07, 2025 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg at 60 years old. Born in Calgary, Alberta, on Friday March 13, 1964, Shary lived a life filled with love, strength, and a deep connection to nature and her Indigenous heritage.

Born in Winnipeg, Erin grew up in St. Vital, attending Hastings, Dakota and Glenlawn. An avid music fan, she was part of Winnipeg’s early punk rock music scene. She married Richard Duguay in ‘86 and they headed to Vancouver in ‘88. A year later, they moved to Los Angeles so Richard could pursue his music career. In LA, Erin worked as a florist, and when they moved back to Vancouver in ‘91 she got a degree in Horticulture from Capilano College.

The pizzazz in all of our lives is gone. This woman, full of vitality and glamour, laid her head to rest for a final time. She was first and foremost a devoted, loving wife to her life's partner, her husband Garry. She was also a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many.

His journey was not without struggles due to an Autistic Spectrum disorder that was not diagnosed until late in life. Nevertheless, he showed immense talent in drafting, carpentry and cabinet making. In all three areas his work was meticulous and showed a creative flair.
